What is a Microgen Swab?

If you have unexplained vaginal discharge, recurrent pregnancy loss, pain with or bleeding after intercourse then perhaps you may benefit from a Microgen sampling. This sampling looks at the DNA make up of the vaginal flora and the inner lining of the uterus.

The benefit of using this Microgen swab is that it also gives your provider recommended antibiotics which could be used to treat these bacteria.

Patient results are provided on a user friendly chart that lists each bacteria and fungal organism found, sexually transmitted diseases, and recommended antibiotic treatment.
